  • Recognize and Celebrate Grace

When God promotes you, He increases His grace on your life. With that increased grace, you are able to accomplish much more. Grace gives you greater ability and opens doors for you. But something very important about grace that you must be conscious of is that it needs recognition. James 4:6 says, “But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble” (KJV). Part of the reason why you may not see the manifestation of grace in your life is because you do not celebrate grace. You should consciously acknowledge that you are full of grace, surrounded with divine favour everywhere and every day. When you do, you will be amazed at… Continue reading "Recognize and Celebrate Grace"

  • Do Good Always

When you do a good thing to someone, they will always remember you, like that woman who poured her expensive perfume on Jesus in Bethany or like Dorcas in Acts 9:36-42. Dorcas was a good woman full of good works. It came to pass in those days that she was sick and she died. All the widows stood by Peter and wept, shewing the coats and garments she had made while she was with them. Peter then prayed for her, and she rose from death. Her good deeds made the widows weep until Peter prayed that she was raised from the dead. Good equips us with resources so that we can use them to benefit ourselves and other people around… Continue reading "Do Good Always"

  • The Power of Love

God’s word teaches us that true love is not an emotion that can come and go but a decision. We are not just to love those who love us, but also love those who hate us the same way that Christ loves whom we perceive to be unlovable. Love is a very powerful emotion. It motivates much of our lives and we make many important decisions based on love and even get married because we feel we are in love. The word of God in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 says, “Love is patient, love kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered,… Continue reading "The Power of Love"

  • Jehovah Jireh

“And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-jireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of Jehovah it shall be provided.” – Genesis 22:14 (ASV).  Abraham was asked by God to offer his only son of old age as a sacrifice and he listened. When he was about to slay his son, God called out to him and told him not to lay a hand on Isaac. God then provided an animal which Abraham used for the sacrifice. Abraham, despite the fact that God had blessed him with Isaac when he was now very old, listened to God’s instruction to offer his son as a sacrifice. This is how God tests us in our lives. There… Continue reading "Jehovah Jireh"

  • How a Relationship with God and the Power of a Vision Transformed Sibo Hlabangana’s Life

(I met Sibo Hlabangana whilst attending a girls’ workshop last October and was immediately drawn to her level of faith in God’s word. This compelled me to want to share her journey from being a lawyer to authoring four books already. She narrated to The Weight She Carries how she has since stopped practicing law to becoming an author, blogger, motivational speaker and more.) Growing up in a country where [most] people identify as Christians, l was one of them but l did not have a personal relationship with Him. And so in my twenties, l went through my rebellion against God. At the time, l was unhappy because l felt that l had done everything right and yet He… Continue reading "How a Relationship with God and the Power of a Vision Transformed Sibo Hlabangana’s Life"
