A marketer by profession – with over seven years market research experience, Rudo is also a speaker and confidence coach with a passion to see individuals master the art of self-love and self-confidence. Personal brand development is her core as her vision is about building strong individuals who understand their worth as brands.
Rudo is active in the media space as a news anchor on national TV and has been a guest on national radio stations talking about self-love, self-esteem and self-confidence. In addition, she is a blogger and writer and published her first book, Zvide: The Power of Loving You, in December 2020.
Rudo loves to take people on journeys of personal growth, saying, “when you are confident in yourself as a brand, your revenue follows suit.”
She does individual and group coaching sessions, offering a fun, relaxed and relatable conversation as she takes people on a journey of growth. She believes a solid individual who is sure of themselves adds greater value in their area of influence, be it people management or business growth.
Rudo believes to be a person of influence, you need to believe in yourself, your abilities and let go of limiting beliefs in order to excel in your area of expertise and calling. A strong leader, a voice of influence, is born from a solid belief in self.
She has spoken to different audiences, including business launches for entrepreneurs. Her passion is what birthed Zvide Creations and her popular hashtag #zvide, which means “love yourself” in Shona.

Rudo is a lover of people and thrives on opportunities to meet new people.
“I believe your network is your net worth,” she told The Weight She Carries. “It’s about growing other people, that is what contributed to the birthing of my brand. I believe my name was well thought out because I love and absolutely thrive on making a difference in people’s lives.”
Rudo is married and is a mom who thrives in her motherhood role.
Tell us more about being a confidence coach. What does it entail?
It is all about helping people discover their strengths and weaknesses and their potential, which at times they are unaware of. Sometimes one may believe they are not enough or do not measure up to expected standards or they do not dress [well] enough to fit well in their job. For another, it could be words spoken that they believed to be truth, yet the words were full of limitations and setbacks.
So, lack of self-confidence plays a pivotal role because you have to believe in yourself even if your beliefs go against the grain.
It’s not all the time that the people you expect or hope [will] see things the way you do actually do. So, it remains for one to believe in ‘self’ in order to adequately defend their position or beliefs should need arise.
The coaching journey enables people to reach a level ground where they are confident as individual brands. Coaching helps people set themselves up for winning in any aspect of their lives, be it in the work environment, business setup, family, in marriage or any other network that has some form of human interactions. The script and formula [are] the same.
Tell us more about Zvide Creations.
Zvide Creations started off as an idea. I naturally do not struggle to write, so I started off with blogs then added vlogs with different messages of encouragement. All these were centred around themes of personal development with thrusts pointing readers and viewers to love themselves, appreciate who they are and where they are in their life journey.
So, when I decided to register the company, ‘Zvide’ was the most appropriate and captivating name. Unfortunately, because of the name search process, we had to add ‘Creations,’ but the brand is popularly known as Zvide.
When one is confident and has balanced self-esteem levels, they are able to add value to themselves and positively impact their personal development journey, becoming better versions of themselves.
Zvide Creations, in a nutshell, is out to build strong individual brands!

What motivated you to write your book?
I cannot highlight one thing that motivated me to write, but I will say in my journey of coaching, I learnt the power of putting thoughts on paper and sharing with the rest of the world. Writing my book was also a way to reach people out there that I will never be able to meet physically but I can impact through the book.
I wrote this book during the first COVID-19 lockdown, challenged as well by my sister who, in two weeks of the same lockdown, wrote and published a book. I thought to myself, ‘It’s important to utilize our time and energy in a time like this and be a voice with positive energy regardless of what the landscape is bringing upon us.’
You mentioned your beliefs. Tell us more about them.
I am one person who stands firm on her beliefs. It’s easy to let the tides of life dictate what you believe in at a specific time and moment because you can get overtaken by life events, pain, difficult moments and just day-to-day challenges. You find yourself changing your belief system to just conform because life is pushing you in a certain direction.
I stand firmly on my beliefs because that is what builds the consistency in everything we do and who we are and what makes us every day. If I do not stand firm on my beliefs, no one else will do that for me, and it is important to be clear on your beliefs and let no one dictate them for you.
What is your advice to women who want to venture into entrepreneurship?
1. Don’t let fear slow you down or second-guess your idea.
2. Be yourself, and shut out all negativity.
3. Study and know your target market/clientele in depth, anticipate their needs and be able supply consistently.
4. Be a good planner. A yearly plan broken to monthly, weekly and daily tasks will help you achieve tangible results. You do not even need to go to school to learn how to plan, but it takes your decision to be consistent.
5. Keep pushing even when you don’t feel or see the progress. Consistency will break many barriers.
