The 2017 Lamborghini Aventador S has a base value of $420,000. Many factors were taken into account when the price was considered — like speed, design, power, the brand, and the amount of work put into creating the model. The manufacturer determined the value of the car.
It would be completely ludicrous for Lamborghini, after designing and assembling the Aventador S, to ask Toyota to place a value on the model. How insane would that be? The only thing crazier would be for Lamborghini to accept whatever Toyota claimed the Aventador S was worth without any dispute. That would be foolish because, although Toyota is a reputable brand, such a crucial decision can only be entrusted to the company that designed the car, has a specific purpose for it, and has the best interest of the car and brand as a whole.

Unfortunately, many of us, myself included, often rely on the wrong source to determine our value. Instead of sticking to what we know to be true about our worth and value, we believe what other people say and adopt whatever value they place on us as if they created us.
What a terrible disservice to ourselves.
In a world that celebrates good looks, popularity, wealth, and connections, it can become increasing difficult to appreciate your own value if you feel you don’t measure up to a particular standard.
Lamborghini wrote the following about the Aventador S Coupé:
“An icon cannot be reinvented, it can only be challenged. And only Aventador could surpass itself.”
If only we thought so highly of ourselves.
