Mandisa Dukashe is living with HIV and knows first hand the challenges that come with a positive diagnosis. In our interview, she talks about growing up with an absent mother, working as a child to provide for her siblings, being diagnosed with HIV and ultimately finding true love.
Mandisa has done extensive work in coordinating HIV/Aids training and mentoring programs. She is also the founder of HIV Survivors and Partners Network, is an AVAC fellow and is also the author of her autobiography, As I Rise Above.
