God Turns Things Around

There are painful things that happen to us and we feel it is the end, but God who created us in His image turns things around. In the Bible in 1 Samuel 1, Hannah had no child and Penninah laughed at her until she got to a point where she prayed and Eli thought she was drunk. God blessed her with a son, Samuel.

Then there is Esther, an orphan, who found favor in the eyes of God and was made queen. Mordecai used to sit outside the palace, but when grace located him, he was now inside the palace with the King. Ruth used to work in the fields; when it was now God’s time, she owned the fields. David was a shepherd; seasons later, he became the king. This shows that struggles are not permanent.

There are so many biblical references of people who went through difficult situations but rejoiced at the end because God turned things around. We need to learn to speak words in our lives and have faith. Elijah was a man just like us but he prayed earnestly that there should not be rain. There was no rain for three and a half years. When he wanted the rain back, he went back into prayer and there was rain. In all the situations we come across, we have the power to change them through prayer. When we pray to God earnestly, he hears us and turns things around.

We have so many women who have gone through many painful circumstances. Some have been sexually abused, left by their loved ones, living with a disease, but God always see us through. God gives us strength to face every situation with boldness.  We are more than conquerors through Christ and when his unmerited favour is upon you, nothing is impossible.

One should never give up because of the challenges of life. Some challenges are here to groom and make us hear God more. Sometimes the more we pray, the more challenges we face but then we need to understand that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against principalities (Ephesians 6:12). God turns things around  in our favour; all we need to do is keep trusting Him.
