You Are Not Your Mistakes

A trial never affects two people the same way. Some come out on the other side with visible scars, others are barely scratched and only they know what they have been through, and some have no story to tell at all.

The same can be said of a woman’s life. There are situations where they simply can’t hide their mistakes – while men seem to walk away scott free – no matter how hard they try to move on.

I’ve seen many young women fail to fulfill their dreams because of a simple mistake they made.

Many unwed mothers today feel abandoned because of a man who once claimed to care, but disappeared as soon as he heard about her pregnancy and ran from his responsibility because he couldn’t bear the thought of jeopardizing his future. The woman, on the other hand, didn’t have the luxury to escape. She was left to deal with both external and self-torture.

Whatever mistake you’ve made, it’s time to end the pity party. Pick up the pieces and rebuild your confidence. Life has got to keep moving. Yes, everyone may be aware of your mistake, but don’t be embarrassed about it.  You will smile again one day.

Remember, not every mistake will destroy you. Some mistakes produce something good. Don’t be intimidated by what others will say, and don’t give anyone the satisfaction of believing that they have ruined your life.

Rise up stronger, better and own your truth!
