Your Situation Does Not Define Your Status

The first thing you need to understand is what God says about your status because if you understand your status, then you can change your situation. Your life is not about what you are going through. The revelation of God’s word that you have reveals your status, but that may not change your situation until you put the Word to work.

The Word of God says, “Greater is He that is in me than the one in the world.” If you are aware of this revelation and understand your status as the one in whom Christ lives, you will be unconquerable irrespective of the adversities you face because the greater one is in you.

You must take your eyes off the situation and focus on your status. The Word of God says that you are the seed of Abraham, an heir of God and joint-heir with Christ which means that you own the world.

You must always remember that the challenges you face, irrespective of how they come, are subject to change. Learn to see things as God sees them and learn to call things what God calls them. The enemy wants you to curse your future with negative words and thinking. Instead of agreeing, start prophesying favour and victory. You may have big challenges. Every voice is telling you that it is not going to work out, that your situation will become worse than it is, but speak the blessings upon your life.

2 Corinthians 4:18 says, “So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” (NIV). Let us not focus on the situation because it is temporary.
